Description
Hoodoo was historically the magic of the disenfranchised, oppressed, and weak. It sprang from a desire to achieve justice, authority, and protection, which were not always readily available. Hoodoo's forefathers and first practitioners were enslaved African Americans, who were followed by their relatives and neighbors. How can one achieve justice when the system is rigged against them? Hoodoo has amassed a wide arsenal of justice and retribution spells, spells designed to restore balance, punish perpetrators, and protect victims from repeated exploitation. It also empowers the abused, allowing them to rise above their circumstances, reclaim their self-esteem, and build better, happier lives for themselves. Depending on the amount of reason, the spells range from light to violent. A 288-page paperback book measuring 5 1/4" x 8 1/2".
