Description
Conjure Divination Style Starr Casas reveals the techniques of conjure-style divination that she learnt at home and that, until recently, were only passed down verbally. Traditional conjuring is the realm of the impoverished and disenfranchised, who live in areas that were (and continue to be) hostile to esotericism and the occult. Thus, conjure divination makes use of simple, non-magical materials, like as playing cards rather than tarot cards, or scrying with blue water rather than a crystal ball. Divination Conjure Style's major emphasis is playing-card divination, but additional techniques addressed include bibliomancy, pyromancy, pendulums, and tossing the bones. Starr explores the history of these tactics as well as practical advice to help the reader master them for themselves. To Starr's demands, Josef Bailey, a young New Orleans artist, has drawn images of conjure-style playing cards. A soft cover book measuring 6" x 9" and including 256 pages.
